Melissa and Calvin were married in an intimate ceremony surrounded by close friends and family at Barton Creek Resort and Spa in Austin, Texas. The evening celebrated the union of two hearts, as well as two cultures. Melissa and Calvin, of Mexican and West Indian decent respectively, greatly valued celebrating the coming together of their two heritages and the opportunity to celebrate significant traditions. Melissa and Calvin were eternally united when they were ‘lassoed‘  by a silk wedding cord – a tradition in the bride’s Mexican culture. Both the ceremony and the reception featured specialties representing both the bride and groom’s family heritage as well as the couple’s American culture. The formal affair truly was a night to remember as it featured such unique traditions elegantly presented.
