I was there on hand to document the story. Birth photography was hard work, but I am was honored to have been able to be there when Mandy first held Maddy in her hands, when my parents walked in the room and saw their first grandchild. I have been able to watch my father melt before my eyes and become absolutely smitten with Maddilyn…and he is not afraid to act a complete fool making cooing sounds and funny faces. Its wonderful and surreal to see how our family is growing and evolving, the dynamics changing.

The waiting was absolutely Killer!

The nurse arrived to let us know Maddy was here…came out kicking and screaming..she was ready to be out of there!

So then my mom was pacing up and down the hall way waiting for Michael to come out with the details!

He had brought Mandy’s iphone with him to the operating room and took her first picture!

The grandparents were very excited!

So the family waiting for a little while and I went back into the room to let Maddy have her first photo shoot…plus I wanted to to bond with my camera lens!

Then it was everyone’s turn to meet and hold our newest family member!Michael went back to fetch the family, and I had a quick cuddly with my new niece for the excitement started…because you know…I had to be busy photographing.

Happy birthday Maddy! Your Aunt Jenny loves you and we are going to have a great time together…I have tea parties and dress-up days in the works!

Anyway, here are a few of the sweet faces that I have been brightening my day lately!

Seriously! Aren’t they stinking cute?

Anyway, this was a great family, and we had such a wonderful time playing and running after three little boys (they will keep you on your toes!). Amie brought a brunch picnic and Nonnie and Pops were there enjoy the sunshine with their grandbabies…

This is Carter, her youngest…he was pretty much just taking in all the new scenery…there was of new things to look at.

Dad says he really loves hanging upside down…that got a little giggle outta him.

That is big brother, Walker, who has come over to play. These boys loved the dirt and the rocks…(I think we are kindred spirits on that one..as my mother can attest).

Walker saw me down on my belly shooting pictures and thought he would join me. Sooo funny. Everytime I would try to sneak on the ground to get an angle, he’d plop right down next to me.

I was going to say this was because he wanted to be a photographer…nope, just another excuse to play in the dirt…and Carter decided to join in because Walker must have found some better rocks over here.

Such a beautiful family!

We then went back to enjoy some of the goodies Amie brought along. Walker had found a new stick! Which of course is much better than a rock.

‘Dad, see my cool stick!…I can use it to dig things with…I am thinking this rock wall could use some grout repair’

Like father like son…. I love this shot.

Walker then decided it was time to go explore than Barn down below.

I just loved his free spirit.

Okay…now this shot is for Nonnie! (and all the other grandmas who are going to squill at the cuteness of three tushies in a row).

It was time to eat some strawberries with Nonnie and Pops

I like to get right down and look at all these critters crawling on the ground…

I found a rock! And its the best rock in these entire woods….I think I will bring it home with me.

You always make me smile when you pick me up…

I think we should go back now mom…nonnie and papa are waiting for us. I really love going for a walk with you, lets do it again soon!

Hello mister blue eyes!

This is Max…isn’t he cute.

He was all too happy to join in some of the fun with his two older sisters when we went to the park and rode on the carousel. 

Just look at the smile on this one!

He is also having fun playing ‘superbaby’ with daddy!

But then, he got a little tuckered out and needed a bit of a nap…which translates to me having fun taking pictures!

I love the little appendages! Give me those little hands…

…and I am sure you know by now reading these posts, I gotta thing for the baby feet.

After the nap, Max had more fun playing with daddy. 

Then mom joined in the fun.

Max was really diggin’ mom’s accessory collection she had on today. But he wanted to put the necklace through some rigorous quality control measures to ensure its durability.

Okay, the necklace has passed the test, its kisses time!

I am thinking my necklace was next up for testing.

The girls were sharing a bit of Dr. Suess wisdom with him. 

Dad is a great musician, in fact the whole family is amazingly musical…its like the Von Traps.

Unfortunately, I tend to just scare people whenever I try to sing or play an instrument. Someone once told me ‚ÄòJenny, you should just appreciate‚Ķdon‚Äôt participate‚Äô. It‚Äôs okay, really, I will continue to belt out when I am alone in the car. But regardless, that is why I admire folks that have that wonderful gift of music in their lives.  

See…. it runs in the family.

I think he is composing his first song… I am going to let him concentrate now.

What a fun and talented family. They were so easy to get to know and I really enjoyed laughing and playing at the park with them! Thanks so much for letting

Just photographing this relaxed and down to earth family was fun enough, but the visit their beautiful ranch and spending time with their extended family (their dogs literally welcomed me as I drove up‚Ķ  as if to say ‚Äòhello, pleased to meet you‚Äô)‚Ķ  just made my heart skip a beat.

But anyway, here is the family…

This is big brother Jake…he was a lot of fun….and really enjoyed showing me the place.

They had the most amazing pecan tree…it was simply gorgeous and I could just imagine hanging out under its canopy for hours and hours.
