Meet Bill and Patricia…they are ridiculously in love! Bill is a suave gentleman whose smooth talk and cheeky smile lights Patricia up like a Christmas tree! Just LOOK! She is glowing! And that is after 50 years together, they were as twitter-pated over each other as my couples about to get married.

Patricia received a gorgeous ring for their anniversary.

You see, the secret to a long and happy marriage…make each other laugh!

Their story was truly incredible and being able to photograph them was a true honor. You see, Bill and Patricia literally ran away together and got married when they were both students at Georgetown University. They were married at the courthouse and Patricia’s maid of honor was there and gave a speech. They even had a wedding cake make up because they never.

Bills grandson, Leo, was very excited about the cake.

Congratulations to you both and here is to many many more years together!

Here are a few of their little ‘wildman’ whom has the sweetest personality. He’s pure boy, likes to climb trees, run around, balance on ledges, tumble down, and then laugh out loud.

I love this moment with grandma, I think he’s briefing her on his daily adventure. And she seems like the best listener. 

And a few of mom and dad, who are in just as in love as all the couples I photograph who are about to tie the knot. I hope I still smile at Chris like this in a few years, which I don’t think will be a problem since he just seems to get better looking every year.

Towards the end of the session, I took some time to capture Kris and her mom. I adore these images, I will tell you why in a sec. 

Kris and her mom mom look so beautiful and like such strong women. I love this next image of them, it really speaks to me. I can only image the stories, history and a strong bond between these two have, it just emanates through this photo.

So I am going to go call my mommy now for a quick chat and say how much I love her and then get back to work.

Anyway, I am so excited about these beautiful portraits…they are art pieces and I am so very happy that she will have these images to show her little girl someday and talk about how Amy was waiting for her little girl to arrive!

These two are my favs! I love the lighting and the atmosphere…she is quietly waiting, and has this peaceful aura about her.

I just love the look these two are giving each other…there are both just glowing with happiness!

I can’t wait to meet this little one! Congratulations Amy!

I was there on hand to document the story. Birth photography was hard work, but I am was honored to have been able to be there when Mandy first held Maddy in her hands, when my parents walked in the room and saw their first grandchild. I have been able to watch my father melt before my eyes and become absolutely smitten with Maddilyn…and he is not afraid to act a complete fool making cooing sounds and funny faces. Its wonderful and surreal to see how our family is growing and evolving, the dynamics changing.

The waiting was absolutely Killer!

The nurse arrived to let us know Maddy was here…came out kicking and screaming..she was ready to be out of there!

So then my mom was pacing up and down the hall way waiting for Michael to come out with the details!

He had brought Mandy’s iphone with him to the operating room and took her first picture!

The grandparents were very excited!

So the family waiting for a little while and I went back into the room to let Maddy have her first photo shoot…plus I wanted to to bond with my camera lens!

Then it was everyone’s turn to meet and hold our newest family member!Michael went back to fetch the family, and I had a quick cuddly with my new niece for the excitement started…because you know…I had to be busy photographing.

Happy birthday Maddy! Your Aunt Jenny loves you and we are going to have a great time together…I have tea parties and dress-up days in the works!

Anyway, here are a few of the sweet faces that I have been brightening my day lately!

Seriously! Aren’t they stinking cute?

So the birthday party revolved around a sort of scavenger hunt that all began in down town Brenham at the Gazebo – 1pm sharp!

Each gal was given a journal, a pen, and a unique stamp. They were given clues and sent on an extraordinary journey exploring the towns secrets.

Our journey first took us to the doll hospital, where the children had to ask the shopkeeper a secret question.

Once the shopkeeper answered, they could document that they had been there and completed their first task.

They stood in line, each in turn, and received a stamp from the shopkeeper in their journal, where they could write down when and where they had visited. Kinda like a passport. 

Then, they had to stamp the shopkeepers book in return, so everyone would know all who had visited. 

I even got to see one of my old friends from last year. She is signing her name.

Off to the next clue! This one took us to Green Grain…where the girls had to use a little math to and find the ‘grid’ on the building, then go 6 bricks up and 30 bricks over…there is where the next clue is!

More stamps, more journals, and more adventure.

Mary Caroline had lots and lots of stamps from the many adventures she had already gone on. She will have that pretty purple journal filled in no time!

Finally, time for a little birthday cake at Fireman’s Park.

And then after that fun adventure…it was time for the girls just to have some fun and play!

Happy birthday Mary Caroline! You are one very awesome little girl…I hope this year brings you lots of wonderful adventures.

Hello Mr. Snail!

I think he saw me and thought…who the heck is this wierdo.

Little beans are sprouting and I have one little strawberry.

Those are the carrots back there.

I think the snail got fed up with me.

He’s off to visit this little guy.

Okay, so I am complete garden geek…call me an old lady but seriously, it makes me very happy. Its in the blood….check me out on Popo’s tractor back in the day!

So, before this girly burst into the delivery room, we managed to spend some time taking pictures of her natural mommy glow and that yummy bump down at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock with my good friend Erin.

And like most two year olds…we had to keep up!

But we made the mistake of telling her we were going for chocolate cake at Kerby Lane after our photo shoot. And this is what happened…

I hear ya sister, sometimes a girl just her chocolate!

When I drove up to the Summerour family, they showed me Red and Juliana‚Ķthese are their Brahma’s. Please do not mistake these for hamburger meat, these cows are just there to enjoy their life to the fullest and provide joy to their owners. They had to be the friendliest herd I have ever been around. Red was especially cute‚Ķand I already told you about how he is BFF‚Äôs with Roscoe.

So here is their story…their family, their love and their home.

After all the fun activities outdoors, we headed in for a game of “Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader”….Nick’s choice….he’s in the fifth grade…so its a true test!
