This marks the start of the Spring wedding season! Tali and Donny were married at Zilker Park Club House, a great venue for small DIY weddings and has an amazing view of downtown. Its inexpensive, but you’ll need a coordinator to help you out. Thanks to Beth Bennet from Stylish Happenings for helping Tali with the layout and running the show that day!
This wedding was a great one, Tali and Donny have an amazing story and as Tali’s maid of honor described it, its a true modern love story. They met when Tali was still a teenager in high school and have been together a long, long time. So their friends and family were thrilled to see these two finally tie the knot. They have endured separations while Donny was fighting overseas and the ups and downs that go along with trying to make a life together. I am so happy to have been a part of their incredible day.
Oh and Tali’s new last name: Boots! So very fitting that she adorned this awesome pair under her dress!
Her bridesmaids had some of the best shoes I have ever seen. I love this animal print with gold platform!
I love this shot…makes me want to hug all the sweet grannies and grandpas that I meet at these weddings!
They danced to their exit… its was awesome.
Tali and Donny were soon embraced by their friends who were all so happy for them. I love it when couples have that ‘second family’ of close knit friends.
First dance with the city as a backdrop = very cool indeed!
And as a testament to how loved this couple was, I think there were at least 10 speeches and toasts that night, which included the flower girl and ring-bearer giving their congratulations also… so very cute.
and I FREAKIN’ LOVE this shot of Tali dancing with her dad!!!! I am doing the happy photog dance.
Tali’s nephew had some sweet moves.
So I am training a new assistant/intern this year. My dear Sophie is an aspiring photographer, currently attending school pursuing fashion photography. Anyway, after the major events of the night were done and the dancing commenced, I put my back up camera in her hands and let her have a go. She got this shot! Way to go Sophie!
So a little bit from our couple:
