The Couple: Marlo grew up in San Antonio and is a Project Manager and Justin grew up in New Braunfels and is a Designer. They met while working at the same place, and they like to go to Drafthouse movies, see live music, find new foodie venues, and travel.
The Proposal: He popped the question at the French Laundry restaurant in Napa, California during a December vacation.
The Venue: Marlo and Justin chose The Driksill Hotel because it’s a beautiful spot, and they’ve shared special moments there.
It’s traditional and almost old world and as Marlo put it, “We believe ourselves to be old souls.”
The First Look: Marlo and Justin were most excited about this moment during their wedding day. Marlo said, “That’s OUR special moment. A moment of peace and pure joy. Where we take it all in and be able to share a unique moment all our own. Looking forward to this. I want a moment where we hold hands, inhale and take it all in. Such a big commitment and such a big day!”
The Ceremony: Marlo and Justin wanted a pretty traditional ceremony and decided to write their own vows. Their main goal was to make sure everyone had a good time and to have a fun and light atmosphere with special moments sprinkled throughout.
The Details: Marlo loves her Jimmy Choo shoes, which she got in New York on a recent trip along with her gorgeous wedding dress. They handmade the favors – candy orange slices, which are Justin’s favorite candies.
