This wedding is near and dear to my heart. It was the first day of work at a new job, in a foreign country, (it really felt like the first day of school) when I met Eleanor for the first time. She became my BFF in Belfast. We spent every day for three years working next to each other and she made it fun every single day I went to work. I seriously looked forward to her absolutely radiant and contagious smile. Mark and Eleanor were our dearest friends when Chris, my husband, and I lived in Belfast and we were thrilled when they got married. Everything about the wedding was true to Eleanor’s personality and natural beauty. So many beautiful handmade details, including Mark’s tie! I was so happy to photograph it for them. Its taking me a while to share this wedding, but I figured it better get up here soon. She is due to have their first baby any second now. I love you Ellie!

From the Eleanor:

What was your favorite memory from the night? “I loved every single bit it is very hard to pick one from it all, but if I had to it would be a moment I got to myself at the end of the night. Me and mark had left but then he had to nip back and I just had a moment to stop, stand there and take it all in surrounded by the hundreds of fair lights that lit up the treehouse – it was (for me) an incredibly special day.”

And what was your favorite image and why? “Are you really going to make me choose? There is one of me and mark as we are walking down the isle together, just married smiling our big cheesy grins- I love that one. I also adore the one of my folks and marks mum just cracking up at a joke in one of the speeches. But honestly there are so many amazing shots .”

And the cakes-Who made those and What was the Swedish one? “My mum made the fruit cake and her good friend Jane Cooper iced it and I made the Norwegian celebration cake – called Kransekake, ”
