Q. What are your day jobs?
A. She is a teacher and he is a software engineer.
Q. Where did you both grow up?
A. She grew up in San Marcos, Texas and he grew up in Houston, Texas.
Q. How did you meet?
A. We both needed one last math class before graduating. He asked a lot of questions, and got my attention. We started doing homework together, and the rest is history.
Q. Tell me about the proposal?
A. Chris: The fest has been a Hardy family tradition since its first year. Kristi and I moved to Seattle after school, so we’ve made it our tradition to head back to Texas and get quality time with family and friends in the sun with great music. I wanted the proposal to be special and I saw a great opportunity to do it where people close to Kristi could be a part of the moment! I called her folks while she was at work and broke the news. From there we planned via email with me using a secondary email address to avoid phone alerts etc.

Q. Name a few places that are special to you. This could be a vacation, a concert, something you enjoy doing together locally, etc. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy; just someplace you have made memories together.
A. 1. Skiing
2. Relaxing together on the couch with our cat
Q. When you can do anything you want to do, what do you do? i.e. what are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your leisure time, what makes you happy?
A. 1. Skiing (we really like to ski)

Q. What is your favorite music and/or songs that mean the most to you as a couple? A playlist of sorts would be great! And any stories are great too!

Q. What are your favorite foods/restaurants?
A. Bahn mi, sushi (Chris), well cooked vegetables. We love thundercloud, p-terry’s, maudies, hyde park, etc. Could go on. 🙂
Q. Any pets? Tell me about them!
A. We have one cat, Raya. She’s awesome. Very loud and queen of the castle.
Q. Please describe the atmosphere or overall feeling of the wedding you are planning.
A. Relaxed, hill-country classic, not super rustic but not super luxurious. Not super formal. Bridesmaids have chosen their own dress in roughly the same color. Reception will be a big party – planning on having signature cocktails 🙂
