How did you choose your venues?  We visited each venue, then went with the venue that we felt fit our styles best.  I grew up on Lake Austin so Westwood Country Club brought me back to my roots.  Also, I loved the open floor plan at Westwood as opposed to 1 large grand ballroom at a hotel.

Describe your decor and how you chose it?  I mainly just decorated with flowers.  I sat down with my florist (Westbank) in advance of the wedding and showed him pictures that I liked off of Pinterest so that he had a feel for my style.  The florist put together the arrangements based on that and did an incredible job.

Tell me about your attire – who designed your dress and where did you buy it?  My gown was by Rivini and I bought it at Ivory Bridal.  Ivory Bridal was the best bridal store in Houston.  I was allowed to try on 25+ dresses in my first fitting with them and it didn’t feel rushed at all.

What shoes did you choose and what jewelry did you wear?  I wore Badgley Mischka 1.5 inch heels.  I went for low heels to be comfortable.  Badgley has the absolute best selection of wedding shoes at a reasonable price.  I picked out heels with pearls across the toes to match my pearl earrings and my pearl hair barrette.

Who designed the bridesmaids dresses?  Dessie.  We purchased them at Bella Bridesmaids.

And your groom – tell me about his look – who was his suit designer? Any other significant accessories? Hunter wore a white dinner jacket by Hickey Freeman.

Why did you choose me, Jenny, to be your wedding photographer?  I reviewed some of your wedding portfolios and absolutely fell in love with your style. I loved that you could organically capture both active and still shots.  I also loved how light and vibrant your pictures looked.

What was one of your favorite moments from your wedding day?  Getting ready to walk down the aisle with my dad; standing in front of the altar with my husband; dancing on the dance floor with Hunter and all of my guests.

What was your favorite image from your wedding day?  The images of us in front of Town Lake.  Those pictures really captured the location we chose to get married in (Austin) nicely.  I am in love with pictures that have a view J
