?I love being outdoors and my husband and I have a lot of memories being outdoors in the hill country. We share great memories at his ranch and the mountain he proposed to me on. We were aiming to have an outdoor wedding during bluebonnet season because it takes your breath away! Once I saw the sacred oaks venue at Camp Lucy I knew it was the place for us.
?? ?Describe your decor and how you chose it?
??I wanted a natural feel to match the beautiful outdoor venue. I really love plants and the forest fairytale look all the different shades of green gave the venue. Adding fun pops of color to the center pieces at the reception made it just a little bit more fun! I also wanted to keep the decor natural and rustic to match the overall feel.
Tell me about your attire – who designed your dress and where did you buy it?
My dress was designed by Monique Lhuihier and purchased at Casa de Novia in Houston. Luvi helped me pick the perfect dress! Monique Lhuihier had just started taking special orders and allowed me to have the dress designed differently. I always loved the low back wedding dresses, but I fell in love with this strapless dress. So I requested to have the back designed to drop lower and it is the first time they have done that.
What shoes did you choose and what jewelry did you wear?
I wore Oscar de la Renta shoes. I absolutely loved them, I felt like cinderella! I could not have picked a more perfect shoe. I wore my Cartier love bracelet given to me by my parents, my engagement and wedding band that were designed from Kyle’s grandmothers wedding ring, and family drop earrings with diamonds and sapphires.
??Who designed the bridesmaids dresses?
?The bridesmaid dresses were designed by Amsale and were the silk chiffon collection.? ?And your groom – tell me about his look – who was his suit designer? Any other significant accessories??? ?Kyle and his groomsmen got their suits from Jos A Bank. Kyle’s accessories were all white so he stood out and he looked so handsome!
? ?Why did you choose me, Jenny, to be your wedding photographer?
??I chose Jenny because of her portfolio and experience. I compared many popular photographers in Austin and I wanted a natural look that did not look too edited. After speaking with her on the phone I knew she had the personality I wanted to work with!
What was one of your favorite moments from your wedding day?
? ?My favorite moment was coming down the aisle! The entire day was such blast, and I so enjoyed being with closest friends and family to prepare for the ceremony, but you cannot beat that moment. Coming out of the bridal suite and turning to see all my family and friends smiling filled me with joy. Once I saw Kyle at the end of the aisle that is all I could see, and that moment went by much too fast!
?What was your favorite image from your wedding day?
?They are all so great! I loved the one where my bridesmaids and house party first see me in dress, Kyle and I in the ceremony, and the back flip!!? ?Did any of your other vendors go above and beyond for you???Everyone I worked with made sure I was happy on my big day. The band made sure to play all of our favorite songs and everyone loved their sound.
Do you have any tips to share with other couples?
Take some time to figure out what you want. I had never really thought about my wedding until it was a reality, and I had to make so many choices! And try not to stress, it is a party after all.
