Laguna Gloria High Fashion Bridal : Rachel

October 16, 2013

The high-fashion bridal session was shot on the grounds of the Laguna Gloria. The bride wore an elegant creation like that of Monique Lhuillier. Here the bride is posed in the window of the Driscoll Villa in the Solarium. The bride's gown, with a sweetheart neckline and delicate embroidery, was reminiscent of Jenny Packham. Here the bride poses in the Four Seasons Garden and the Sunken Garden. The bride poses on the Peacock Couch on an outdoor balcony of the historic Driscoll Villa. The bride dances on the Overlook in front of the Driscoll Villa on the Villa patio. The bride's classic wedding gown had the clean lines of a Vera Wang dress. The bride pauses on the edge of the classic, Mediterranean-style gazebo. The architecture of the historic Driscoll Villa was inspired by Clara Driscoll's trips to Italy and Venice. Her wedding gown's simple lines were reminiscent of Angel Sanchez. The Temple of Love, Lake Austin, the Sunken Garden and Charles Umlauf's sculpture The Poetess are only a few of the historic attractions that the Driscoll Villa boasts. The bride reclines in a Monique Lhuillier-inspired wedding gown on the Peacock Couch as she looks out over the gardens and Lake Austin.

Laguna Gloria is a very popular spot for taking bridal portraits. However, my goal is to always capture something edgy, beautiful and different along with classical bridal portraiture. I want my brides to experience a high fashion shoot and walk away feel confident and glamorous before their wedding day. And, I always imagine how fun it would be for my brides to show off such a glamorous image to their grandkids one day.
