Before photography became her profession, Jenny studied design and worked as a landscape architect. She later trained in documentary photography through intensive workshops led by accomplished photojournalists, including Pulitzer Prize winning photographers.
Both backgrounds continue to shape her work.
She notices the architecture of a room, the way a dress moves, the balance of a tablescape, and the light falling across a portrait. At the same time, she is watching for a parent’s expression, a friend’s reaction, or the laugh happening just outside the frame.
Jenny has always been the family historian in her own life, which is part of why these photographs carry so much meaning for her.
