Frequently Asked Questions

How long have you been in the business?  Since 2009

How many weddings have you photographed? Over 250 unique and wonderful weddings.

Are you part-time or full-time?   This is my full-time career and passion for over 10 years.

Do you have any formal training?  I have been mentored and trained by some of the best wedding photographers in the world including Pulitzer prize-winning photojournalists.  I still invest a significant amount of money and time into continuing education every year to keep up with the latest technologies and techniques. With over 10 years of experience, I am now a sought-after educator myself and I am always seeking to raise the bar for the other photographers with the talent and drive to become the best that they can be.

How many camera bodies do you have?  I shoot with Nikon professional cameras and the highest quality lenses. I carry 2 cameras at all times during a wedding up until the open dancing at the reception.  I have 6 lenses in my bag for every situation, including primes and zooms that cover a large range of focal lengths with back-ups just in case.

How many proofs should I expect to see from my wedding?  Every wedding is different, but  I typically deliver anywhere from 400 to 800 images. You can expect at least 50-75 images per hour of coverage.

How many proofs should I expect to see from my portrait session?   About 25 to 30 of your best shots.

What is your backup system?  My photographs are transferred to a working desktop and backed up daily on a raid backup system. Photos are also backed up offsite on the cloud every single day. Needless to say, we have you covered as best we can!

Will the assistants and other photographers you hire to help shoot my wedding be people you have worked with before?  Absolutely, I have a select group of dedicated associates and assistant photographers who work with me frequently.

When can we see our photos?  Each image is hand-selected and edited to tell your wedding day story.  This process typically takes about 12 to 15 weeks for weddings and 2 to 3 weeks for portrait sessions. Once completed, we will set up your appointment to premiere the results, discuss your wedding album, and do any ordering.  After your premiere, images are posted online to share with family and friends for a full nine months.

What happens if you are sick and injured and cannot shoot our wedding?  In the very rare event that I am unable to shoot your wedding, I will call on my amazing associates to come to my rescue!  My associate photographer will be fully briefed on your wedding day prior to your event.  Rest assured every effort will be made to ensure you have stunning wedding photography to look back on from your special day, and that I will move heaven and earth to be there if I am able.
