Q. How did you meet?
On Bumble! He tried to ask me out via text, but I held him to a higher standard and made him call me. Our first date started out as a total disaster, but obviously things ended up working themselves out! 🙂

Q. Tell me about the proposal?
We dolled ourselves up at The Dewberry hotel and strolled along the streets of Charleston, SC to dinner at The Peninsula Grill. We enjoyed our delicious dinner al fresco before Daniel faked me out with a “I’m going to use the restroom.” Instead, he turned and got on one knee and asked me to marry him! Couples all around us snapped photos to commemorate the special occasion. We were well-wished and went on to celebrate with French 75s back at The Dewberry.

Q. Name a few places that are special to you. This could be a vacation, a concert, something you enjoy doing together locally, etc. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy; just someplace you have made memories together.
-Discovery Green (park located across the street from our apartment building in downtown Houston). We love to chase Benjamin around and enjoy family time together there!
-Morton’s. We locked eyes over glasses of Angel’s Envy on our first date and have spent many more evenings there meeting for a drink and catching up from the work day.
-Any beach. Anywhere. We love to soak up the sun and be next to the water. We also love a great cocktail along with the view 🙂

Q. When you can do anything you want to do, what do you do?
-Spending time with our sweet Benjamin and watching him grow (playing at the park, taking him to the Houston Zoo, going to dinosaur exhibits).
-Day drinking with each other and hanging with friends in their backyard, playing with dogs and babies.

Q. What is your favorite music and/or songs that mean the most to you as a couple? A playlist of sorts would be great! And any stories are great too!
The Chainsmokers and any song that a teenage girl would like (i.e., Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, T-Swift, and anything “basic”).

Q. What are your (his and hers) favorite drinks when you are celebrating? Craft beer, wines, cocktails, bubbly?
Daniel loves his bourbon (Angel’s Envy, Woodford). I love a great French 75 (and my bourbon–I’m a KY girl, after all!)

Q. What are your favorites drinks for Sunday mornings? Special herbal teas? Love a particular coffee? Bloody Mary’s?
Daniel can’t survive without at least two cups of coffee to begin his day. We both love mimosas!
