Windemere Farms Wedding in the Texas Hill Country with Coral and Citrus Tones

December 6, 2023

A Joyful, Citrus-Infused Texas Wedding

There’s something about spring in Texas that feels like pure magic — sunshine spilling over rolling hills, the scent of fresh florals on the breeze, and in this case, a splash of citrus at every turn. Mairead and Patrick’s citrus wedding at Windermere Farms was the definition of vibrant joy, planned to perfection by Pearl Events Austin and brought to life with radiant blooms from Remi + Gold.

A Love Story Rooted in Home

High school sweethearts turned soulmates, Mairead and Patrick’s story began at prom — their first official date. After spending that summer together, they went their separate ways for college, determined to make a long-distance relationship work.

They spent weekends visiting each other at football games and formals, building a connection that only grew stronger through time and distance. Years later, when life brought them both back to Houston, a dinner together rekindled everything they knew had never really faded.

The next chapter began when Patrick proposed the day after his college graduation — surrounded by family, friends, and the kind of joy that marked the start of their forever.

A Sun-Soaked Celebration at Windermere Farms

On April 1, 2023, under the golden Texas sun, guests gathered at Windermere Farms to celebrate this next step in Mairead and Patrick’s love story. The venue’s stone patio offered panoramic views of the lush countryside, setting the stage for an afternoon ceremony that felt both elegant and effortless.

The ceremony arch, crafted from vibrant florals in hues of coral, peach, and orange, framed a small wooden cross built by Mairead’s uncle — a deeply personal touch that anchored the moment. Bridesmaids wore mismatched dresses in citrus tones, creating a joyful palette that mirrored the couple’s cheerful energy.

As the ceremony concluded, the couple recessed to laughter and cheers, with guests ready to toast to their new adventure.

Fresh Details, Endless Charm

From start to finish, this citrus wedding at Windermere Farms was a feast for the senses. Guests were greeted at cocktail hour with refreshing bites and drinks from Contigo Catering, while the scent of fresh citrus lingered in the air.

The tented reception space was a showstopper — airy powder blue linens, bespoke stationery by Katherine Jezek Design, and lush floral centerpieces dotted with kumquats and garden roses. Every table was alive with color and texture, perfectly balancing whimsy and refinement.

A custom citrus-themed seating chart guided guests to their tables, while the band Blue Roses (via Dart Collective) kept the dance floor buzzing beneath the sailcloth tent. The night came alive with laughter, dancing, and the glow of twinkle lights strung through the oaks.

Personal Touches That Made the Day Their Own

True to their playful, heartfelt nature, Mairead and Patrick infused the night with details that reflected their personality. Guests were surprised with a custom airbrush trucker hat station, giving everyone a fun memento to wear on the dance floor.

Late-night carajillos were served alongside cocktail napkins featuring Bean — the couple’s beloved pup — a lighthearted and personal nod to their little family.

As the evening drew to a close, Mairead slipped away to change — emerging in the same dress she wore to prom with Patrick years earlier. It was a sentimental moment that reminded everyone just how full-circle this story really was.

Under the glow of cold spark fountains by Big Dog Pyro, the couple shared one final dance beneath an oak tree wrapped in lights before departing in a vintage getaway car from 4 Leaf Limo.
