Some weddings strike the perfect balance between timeless design and personal expression. Chloe and Jake’s celebration at the Four Seasons Austin was exactly that — a weekend layered with meaning, styled with intention, and rooted in impeccable taste. It was a modern classic with a twist — clean-lined, bold in just the right places, and unapologetically fun.
A Story That Started with a Swipe
While they shared a professional path in Austin, it was Hinge that brought them together — a modern beginning for a couple whose wedding would be anything but ordinary.
“While we’d love to claim a classic meet-cute, bumping into each other in grad school, our story actually began thanks to our favorite modern matchmaker—Hinge.”
Jake, originally from Lake Mary, Florida, works in investment banking. Chloe, who moved to Texas in high school and stayed through college and graduate school, is a category manager for an East Coast-based grocery retailer. Together, they’ve built a life anchored by drive, travel, and their two beloved dogs, Deacon and Goose — both of whom made a subtle appearance in the wedding design story.
A Thoughtful Proposal in the French Alps
Jake proposed on a snowshoe hike in Chamonix, France. After a steep climb, he got down on one knee at the top of the mountain — just the two of them, a guide, and a hidden photographer. But the surprises didn’t stop there. Back at the hotel, Chloe was met with another unforgettable moment — her mom and stepdad had secretly flown in to celebrate. The families spent the holidays together in France and Switzerland, setting the tone for what would become a beautifully layered engagement and wedding season.
A Weekend Designed in Four Distinct Chapters
Chloe approached wedding planning with a clear aesthetic in mind — classic, clean, but never predictable. She and her mom curated every detail, from the fabric textures and printed linens to the intentional shift in mood across each part of the day.
The Ceremony took place under the trees at the Four Seasons lawn, framed by natural textures and soft white florals. The backdrop was intentionally understated to allow the couple’s energy — and Chloe’s sculptural Danielle Frankel gown — to take center stage.
Cocktail Hour brought a visual shift. Bold custom bar wraps (hand-sewn by Chloe’s mom), velvet chartreuse linens, and jungle-inspired prints were layered with organic florals and white jute textures. The intention was to create contrast — a tone of ease with a hit of editorial energy.
Dinner was al fresco beneath a canopy of twinkle lights. Shades of green were pulled through the table linens, stationery, and florals, with tailored place settings and gold flatware elevating the overall palette. The space felt polished but grounded — formal enough to honor the occasion, relaxed enough to invite true celebration.
The After-Party was a world of its own. Chloe and Jake transformed the foyer into a speakeasy-inspired lounge called The Golden Goose Social Club — named for their dogs, Deacon (the “golden”) and Goose. Green velvet lounges, a black-and-white dance floor, candles everywhere, and custom neon signage gave it a completely different tone. Guests danced late into the night surrounded by disco balls, party merch, and a room full of electric energy.
A Weekend of Fashion
Chloe’s style carried through every part of the weekend — sophisticated, directional, and uniquely her.
Rehearsal Dinner: Simkhai dress, Jimmy Choo heels, Cult Gaia clutch
Getting Ready: Favorite Daughter slip dress, Sezane sweater embroidered with her new initials, Jimmy Choo flats
Wedding Look: Custom Danielle Frankel gown, Manolo Blahnik heels
Late-Night Change: Retrofête party dress, Larroudé platform heels, custom choker
Jake: Custom tuxedo by OMJ Clothing
A Moment That Stands Still
“Our first dance. It was the part we were most nervous about — and it ended up being our favorite. It felt like we were dancing in our own world, and then we looked around and saw everyone we love in the same room. We’ll never forget that moment.”
Why They Chose Jenny DeMarco Photography
“My mom actually found your Instagram, and we loved how you capture the essence of a moment. I wanted our photos to tell the full story of the day — and you did exactly that.”
Weddings like Chloe and Jake’s are a reminder that timeless doesn’t have to mean traditional — and editorial doesn’t have to mean detached. It’s the layering of real emotion with refined design that creates something lasting.
