Melissa and Harlan were the first couple married at the Country Inn & Cottages venue in Fredericksburg. She is a 4th grade teacher who grew up in Houston, and he is a land and ranch real estate broker who grew up in Dallas. They met at a dinner one with mutual friends one night, and, as they said, “the rest is history.” Harlan proposed in a gorgeous chapel sitting on a bluff overlooking the Brazos River.

Melissa wanted a shabby country chic style wedding with a little bit of vintage thrown in. She had her mother’s wedding veil wrapped around her wedding bouquet. We love weddings that have special people involved throughout the day. Melissa and Harlan’s officiant was the best man’s dad, and the singer for the ceremony was a groomsman at the wedding.

The best part? Harlan sang the song for the father-daughter dance. Sweet 😉
