5 Things To Know About An Omni Barton Creek Wedding
Only a hop, skip, and jump away from the city of live music events, also known as Austin, TX, is a luxury getaway called The Omni Barton Creek Resort and Spa. It’s a favorite spot of mine, especially for weddings. While the Texas Hill Country is filled with other gorgeous event spaces, like Camp Lucy and Commodore Perry, Omni Barton Creek Resort offers the kind of experience you’ll thoroughly enjoy if you crave luxury with southern hospitality.
About The Omni Barton Creek Resort and Spa
Austin, TX can feel so crammed together at times that it’s difficult to imagine a 4,000-acre property nestled right outside downtown Austin. But the Omni Barton Creek Spa and Resort is the spot you’ll want to relax at during your wedding weekend.
Almost forty years ago, in 1987, the Omni Barton Creek Resort opened in the Texas Hill Country and quickly became known for its golf course, the country club, and its popular events, like the Champions Tournament.
And because it’s a quick drive to Austin Bergstrom International Airport, Omni Barton Creek Resort is a fantastic spot to consider for your getaway or wedding. So let’s go over some of their best resort and spa features!
The Omni Barton Creek Resort and Spa Features
The Accommodations
The Texas Hill Country isn’t known for wedding venues with accommodations, which is what makes the Omni Barton Creek an ideal spot for both wedding celebrations and wedding weekends with out-of-town guests can come, relax, and enjoy the celebration.
All of the guest rooms are luxuriously appointed, and the resort offers couples suites to elevate their wedding weekend. For those that meet the food and beverage minimum of $10,000, you’ll receive a complimentary night in a suite on your actual wedding night.
Golf
With a world-renowned golf course and one of the best in the hill country, Omni Barton Creek Resort is known as one of the best golf resorts in the Southwest, as chosen by GOLF Magazine. The resort offers multiple courses, some that even offer an amazing journey through the fairways and greens. The gorgeous experience these courses provide is known as the best not just in Austin, but in Texas as well!
And what does one do after a day of swinging clubs in the sunshine? Go to the spa!
The Resort Spa
The Omni Barton Creek Resort also has a place worthy of relaxation in style. The Mokara Spa can make any wedding weekend even better with one of the best spas in Austin, TX. Just imagine taking the time to relax and celebrate with your best friends before walking down the aisle.
The Mokara Spa also offers a fitness center and multiple pools, helping you create even more magical memories with loved ones while you visit.
The Pools
The Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa has a multi-deck pool experience, including an adults-only infinity pool overlooking the 18th hole. A unique viewpoint in the hill country, to be sure. They even have one with Mokara Spa, which emulates the nearby charming creek.
Dining
Whatever you’re craving the Omni Barton Creek Resort can offer it in spades. From Canyon’s Grill, a spot that overlooks the resort’s Fazio canyons golf course, to Bob’s Steak and Chop House—fine dining with Texas-sized steaks, the resort’s dining options will enhance your overall experience on of the most important days of your life!
On that note, the resort only permits in-house catering for weddings, but I promise they won’t leave you disappointed.
The Omni Barton Creek Resort Event Spaces
The resort offers multiple wedding event venues, so it might be a bit difficult to narrow down your choices. No Austin wedding is complete without hill country views, which almost all of these event spaces offer. Some offer an indoor/outdoor option, while others are ideal for intimate rehearsal dinners or cocktail hours.
Let’s go over each wedding venue to see which one catches your attention the most.
Hill Country Pavilion
This luxurious option sits next to a stunning open-air event lawn, the perfect setting for cocktail hour followed by a wedding reception with sweeping views.
With what one can easily consider the most picturesque views of the Texas Hill Country, the open-air hill country lawn makes the Hill Country Pavilion ideal for cocktail hours and small wedding ceremonies. It’s a stunning setting for an elegant wedding reception
This 5,000-square-foot wedding space is the perfect location for events of up to 350 guests, making its use versatile, a great fit for a large celebration hoping to have a reception with an indoor/outdoor option with lots of space for friends and family to mingle.
I’ve seen some of the most gorgeous weddings in this beautiful atrium space, with the surrounding hills accented with warm, natural light during sunset.
Rock House
Of course, not everyone wants to invite 350 guests. Set in the sprawling hills of the resort’s Fazio Canyons Golf Course, the Rock House is the perfect setting for couples looking to have a private ceremony or a space ideal for intimate rehearsal dinners.
With a stunning hill country lawn large enough for an intimate setting, the Rock House would be a great spot to play a game of horseshoes.
Brazos Ballroom
If your wedding day in Austin needs to have a high-end, luxury feel, then the Brazos Ballroom, the Omni Barton Creek Resort’s shining example of a royal ballroom, could be the perfect setting for your vision.
One of the most gorgeous ballrooms in the hill country, the Brazos Ballroom offers room for an elegant wedding reception, with the ability to seat up to 600 guests, with space for a dance floor, a spot to host a band for live music events, and all of the relevant facilities that make the indoor ballroom a popular choice.
Wildflower Atrium
The first thing you’ll notice when you walk into the Wildflower Atrium are the tall ceilings and the beautiful herringbone wood floors. It’s easy to imagine the beautiful atrium space filled with guests, laughter, and a champagne toast or two. It’s a popular choice for intimate rehearsal dinners, as well.
And like most spots at the Omni Barton Creek Resort, it offers Instagram-worthy views of the hill country.
Darrell K Royal Ballroom
Similar to the Brazos Ballroom, the Darrell K. Royal Ballroom offers space for a max seating capacity of 576 guests. With windows overlooking the hill country, the ballroom also offers space for live music events with a bandstand, allowing a spacious dance floor for any wedding party looking to party the night away.
