A Colorful Summer Wedding at Four Seasons Austin
Lauren and Max celebrated their August wedding with a ceremony at Central Christian Church followed by a reception at Four Seasons Austin. Planned by Becky Brock of Brock + Co. Events, the ballroom was transformed with bright fuchsia and orange florals, metallic linens, gold lounge furniture, and a bronze-gold dance floor surrounded by a custom stage and backdrop.
Lauren wore a Carolina Herrera gown with Chantilly lace, a mikado silk skirt, and a cathedral-length veil. Max chose a custom midnight blue tuxedo with “Hook ’em Horns – 8.6.16” embroidered beneath the collar.
One of the biggest surprises of the night was hidden behind draping in the adjoining San Jacinto ballroom. The space had been transformed into a German-inspired biergarten in honor of Max’s family roots, with rich wood, greenery, string lights, a 24-foot bar, sausages, soft pretzels, candied bacon, and milkshake shooters. Guests discovered the room later in the reception, making the reveal part of the experience.
The celebration ended with another surprise. After Lauren and Max made their way through the sparkler exit, a secret fireworks show lit up the sky, coordinated by Lauren’s mother and Becky Brock.
