A Blush Winter Wedding at Commodore Perry Estate

Claire and Brendan’s February wedding brought Greek Orthodox tradition to the relaxed beauty of Commodore Perry Estate. Their day paired a meaningful church ceremony with an outdoor dinner in the Sunken Garden, followed by fireworks and a late night of dancing inside the Chapel.

The design was inspired by the warmth of Tuscany, interpreted through winter whites and blush pink flowers. Jennifer Seals of Pearl Events Austin planned a celebration that felt polished and welcoming, with each part of the evening making thoughtful use of the estate.

A Greek Orthodox Wedding Ceremony in Austin

Claire and Brendan were married at Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church. Their ceremony included the crowning tradition, during which stefana connected by ribbon were placed upon their heads. The crowns symbolize the couple’s union and the shared life they are beginning together.

Claire carried a piece of her own family history into the ceremony by using her mother’s stefana. The heirloom made an already meaningful tradition feel even more personal. The ceremony also held tender significance for Claire’s family as they remembered her aunt, who had passed away in 2020.

Claire walked down the aisle to “Storybook Love” from The Princess Bride, performed by Vitamin String Quartet. The music added a personal choice to the formality of the Greek Orthodox service.

A Blush Reception at Commodore Perry Estate

Guests continued the celebration at Commodore Perry Estate, where the gardens created a natural setting for the evening. The winter palette included white flowers with soft blush accents, complementing the architecture and greenery surrounding the estate.

Cocktail hour was held outdoors with Blind Date playing acoustic music. Guests had time to enjoy the grounds before gathering for a seated dinner in the Sunken Garden. The layout felt intimate while still giving the evening a sense of occasion.

The outdoor setting also gave us a beautiful opportunity for portraits around the property. Commodore Perry Estate offers so much variety within a relatively compact space, including formal gardens, textured interiors and the distinctive European character of the mansion.

Fireworks and Dancing in the Chapel

After dinner, guests were treated to a fireworks display over the estate. It created a natural turning point in the evening before everyone made their way into the Chapel for Claire and Brendan’s first dance to “Let’s Do It” by Ella Fitzgerald.

Blind Date shifted into the full band for dancing, filling the Chapel with a completely different energy than the quiet garden dinner. Guests packed the dance floor and celebrated well into the night.

A Lutie’s ice cream cart opened outside the Chapel as a late-night treat. Guests could step out for ice cream before returning to the dance floor, while a Keopix photo booth added another playful element inside.

Claire and Brendan’s wedding made beautiful use of everything Commodore Perry Estate offers. The Sunken Garden hosted an intimate dinner beneath the evening sky, while the Chapel became the setting for a lively party that continued until 1:00 in the morning. The result felt personal to the two of them, especially for a couple who loves live music and a wonderful night out together.
