A Garden-Inspired Jewish Wedding in Austin, Texas

Layered greenery, sculptural white flowers, and thoughtful personal details transformed The Arlo into an elevated indoor garden for Allix and Max’s Austin wedding. Designed and planned by Verve Austin, the celebration paired the venue’s clean, contemporary architecture with organic floral design, warm candlelight, and a fresh green-and-white palette.

Allix and Max first met through a mutual friend shortly after Allix moved to Vail, Colorado, where Max had lived for nearly a decade. A casual breakfast turned into hours of conversation, followed by months of texts and, eventually, a relationship. Two and a half years later, Max proposed while they were vacationing in San Diego. They celebrated that evening with a sunset dinner near the beach and their beloved dog, Taco.

A Quiet Beginning to the Wedding Day

Before gathering with their guests, Allix and Max exchanged private vows and spent time together around The Arlo. Taco joined them for portraits, adding a relaxed and personal moment to the beginning of the day.

Allix wore a Galia Lahav wedding gown featuring an oversized floral motif and a full, romantic silhouette. A bouquet of long-stemmed white calla lilies complemented the gown with a more modern, sculptural shape.

The Arlo’s signature staircase and light-filled interiors provided a clean architectural backdrop for portraits, allowing the movement and intricate details of her gown to take center stage.

A Green and White Ceremony at The Arlo

One of the couple’s closest friends officiated their traditional Jewish wedding ceremony. Surrounded by family and friends, Allix and Max were married beneath a lush chuppah designed with abundant greenery and ivory flowers.

The ceremony struck a meaningful balance between Jewish tradition and the couple’s own personalities. Their floral chuppah established the garden-inspired aesthetic that continued throughout the reception while creating an intimate focal point within The Arlo’s modern indoor space.

Some of the most memorable photographs came from the unscripted exchanges surrounding the ceremony, including emotional reactions, embraces with family, and the energy of the recessional as Allix and Max made their way back up the aisle as newlyweds.

An Upscale Greenhouse-Inspired Reception

Verve Austin brought the couple’s upscale greenhouse vision to life through a thoughtful mix of layered textures, organic floral design, and restrained color. Inside the reception, Stems carried the green-and-white palette into the tablescapes with sculptural arrangements, trailing greenery, and soft neutral flowers. Sage napkins and stationery by K. Laine Design added subtle color, while patterned linens brought depth to the airy palette.

Draping by Unique Design & Events softened the room and helped create the feeling of an elegant indoor garden. Every element felt connected without appearing overly matched or rigid, giving the reception a sophisticated atmosphere that still felt inviting.

A celebratory champagne pour and cake cutting gave Allix and Max a chance to pause together before the evening shifted toward the dance floor. Allix later changed into a fringed white mini dress and cowboy boots, bringing movement, personality, and a playful Texas touch to the reception.

With Matchmaker performing, the dance floor quickly filled with family and friends. The photographs moved with the energy of the evening, capturing spontaneous embraces, animated conversations, and the expressions that unfolded when guests were fully immersed in the celebration..

Its mix of natural light, contemporary architecture, and outdoor scenery creates opportunities for both refined portraits and candid wedding photography without pulling a couple away from their guests for long stretches of time.

With planning and design by Verve Austin, Allix and Max’s wedding made beautiful use of each space while remaining deeply personal and centered on the people they love.
